My advanced training in psychology and law allow me to help with all aspects of conflict. Minnesota Law and Politics featured me in the February 2000 issue, calling my process "a kinder gentler mediation"; the St. Paul Pioneer Press profiled me in 2003 as "the man in the middle"; and in 2007 Minnesota Lawyer reported on my designation as a Certified Transformative Mediator (by the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation) in "Transformative ADR Movement Gains Toehold in the Twin Cities."
As a teacher and practitioner of the transformative approach, I help parties have a constructive conversation about their differences. I received my law degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota School of Law, my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota, and my B.A., with honors, from the University of California at Berkeley. Although I am licensed to practice law in Minnesota, I prefer to practice mediation exclusively. Before creating Twin Cities Mediation, I worked as a business litigation attorney and as a family business consultant. Throughout my career, I have sought better ways to intervene in cases of highly emotional conflict.
